Bangladesh is the world's second exporter of garment industry. In the fiscal year 2021-22,exports from the ready made garment industry alone amounted to $42.613 billion, which is 81.81 percent on Bangladesh's total exports. About 4 million people of the country are involved in the garment industry, Including about 1.5 million women worker! Wondering? According to WEF, Bangladesh ranks 48th in the overall empowerment women. Women Contribution to Bangladesh's GDP is about 20 percent.
